Recently, our Founder Dr. Rubby Beniwal and our dedicated team visited homeless and nomadic families living in temporary settlements to provide essential hygiene education, life guidance, and humanitarian support.
Reaching the Margins with Compassion
Families living in temporary shelters face immense daily hardships—from extreme weather to a complete lack of basic amenities. During our visit, we spent meaningful time sitting with the adults, elderly, and children (as seen in the photo), listening to their stories, understanding their challenges, and reminding them that they are seen, valued, and respected.

Teaching Basic Hygiene & Disease Prevention
A major focus of our outreach was Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) education. Preventable infections often thrive in temporary settlements due to a lack of awareness. Our team conducted practical demonstrations for both parents and children on proper handwashing techniques, clean water storage, oral hygiene, and basic sanitation practices. Equipping these families with fundamental health knowledge is the first line of defense against illness.
Educating for Life: Skills, Rights & Future Hope
Education isn’t limited to school classrooms. We held informal learning sessions with the children, encouraging them toward basic literacy and habits of curiosity. Simultaneously, we guided the adults on government welfare schemes, identification documents, addiction prevention, and avenues for livelihood. Our goal is to empower these communities to break the cycle of poverty through knowledge and self-reliance.
